Be Held: Rest, Play, Belong

November 6-9, 2025 | Coastal Georgia

Because Healing Doesn't Have to Be Heavy!

Come rest your body, open your heart, and rediscover the joy of being held in community.

Join us this November on the Georgia coast—held by the beauty of the marsh and ocean, nourished with delicious meals, and supported by the power of a circle of women.

When the world around us feels turbulent and unsteady, it can be hard to stay grounded. This retreat is your invitation to exhale, to step away from the noise and demands of daily life and a chaotic world and give yourself the gift of rest and connection. Here, you’ll have the space to soften your nervous system, reconnect with your inner child, and remember what it feels like to be nurtured instead of always being the nurturer.

But rest is only part of the medicine. We’ll weave in play and belonging—because healing is also about rediscovering joy. Over four days in a cozy coastal space—surrounded by sea air and soft moss—we’ll move, rest, sing, shed, laugh, and remember: you don’t have to carry this all alone.

Rest deeply. Play freely.
Belong fully.

Meet Your Guide

Hi, I’m Diane Hilleary - a psychotherapist, intuitive coach, retreat leader, and a big believer in the healing power of laughter, connection, and compassion.

For 20 years, I’ve been walking alongside people on their journeys back to themselves, blending psychotherapy, mindfulness, and intuitive practices with a healthy dose of humor and play.

When I'm not holding space for transformation, you can find me talking to turtles on a marsh walk, following winks from the universe, or disappearing into a rabbit hole of my newest curiosity.

I created this retreat as a sanctuary where sensitive, heart-forward souls can feel safe, seen, and supported—and where joy and silliness are just as welcome as tears and breakthroughs.

You don’t have to carry it all alone.

Come rest, reconnect, and remember the joy of being held—in nature, in community, and in your own heart.

FAQ

1) What is inner child healing?

Inner child healing is a gentle process of meeting the younger parts of you—especially the ones that learned to brace, please, or disappear—with warmth and protection now. We use IFS-informed prompts, soothing somatic practices, and re-parenting language so those parts feel seen and safe. When they soften, your present-day self has more space for calm, clarity, and choice.

On retreat, this looks like: guided imagery, authentic sharing with "me too" moments, and simple self-soothing tools you can use at home in minutes.

2) Why does the retreat include ritual?

Ritual helps your nervous system and brain mark a shift from “before” to “after.” It gives structure to release and renewal, anchors meaning in your body, and connects you to something larger—nature, community, spirit—without dogma.

On retreat, this looks like: Fire ritual for release and reclaiming, Community altar for intention-setting, nature-based grounding, water ritual for recommitting to yourself.

3) How can you make healing playful?

Play is regulation. Lightness, laughter, and creative expression down-shift the stress response and make change feel safe enough to stick. Joy isn’t a distraction—it’s medicine.

On retreat, this looks like: gentle movement, art or collage, “Care Bear stare” style loving-kindness practices, silly moments woven between deeper work, and opt-in activities that build connection. Always consent-based; you choose your level of participation.

4) How will this retreat help me feel steadier in real life?

We pair insight with practice and repetition so calm becomes more available at home.

You’ll leave with:

  • A pocket set of micro-practices (60–120 seconds) for busy days.

  • Co-regulation skills (how to borrow steadiness from breath, body, nature, and safe people).

  • Scripts and self-talk for tender parts.

  • A simple integration plan (what to do in the first 7–30 days post-retreat).

  • Ongoing connection (Tune Into You or community touchpoints) so the support doesn’t end at checkout.

5) Why does the retreat include song?

Singing together is ancient nervous-system care. Group song naturally lengthens the exhale, stimulates the vagus nerve, and creates social synchrony—your body literally feels “with” instead of “alone.” Song circles foster hope, belonging, and gentle joy without performance pressure.

On retreat, this looks like: simple, call-and-response songs anyone can join, and lyric lines that remind your body of safety and possibility. Cameras and solos not required—participate your way.
